A MODEL'S SOLID REPUTATION IS ONE OF HIS MOST IMPORTANT ASSETS!
Beyond his looks, his reputation is everything he owns, and must hold it true and dear! Mr. Bucheck highly recommends a great and a professional work ethic! Self-arrogance and a bad attitude can also be a model's worst enemy, and will also destroy a reputation.
Here are some very useful tips to help guide a model through booking and shooting :
- Go over everything about a shoot BEFORE booking!
- Never/ever bring "guests" to a shoot. Don't even ask if it's okay. It is NOT!
- Every photographer has a different style and shoots differently. They do not care who a model is or with whom they shot with before -- Nor do they care how they worked with them.
- Always completely read the Model Release Form BEFORE signing it! It is a legal and binding document. The photographer owns ALL images and can display, post, distribute them any way he wishes.
- The photographer controls the shoot. (Mr. Bucheck is always happy to entertain some ideas from his models.)
- Never show up late, high and/or drunk, looking tired and/or with an awful attitude.
- At least two hours before a shoot, refrain from wearing garments that will leave indentations in the skin
- Booking a session with any photographer and simply not showing up for the shoot, is one of the worst things a model can do! Believe it or not, it can destroy a model's reputation. Photographers talk with each other!
- Walk in to a shoot prepared, and be ready to shoot -- and work hard.
- Never complain during a hoot!
- Be easy to direct, with a positive attitude. Always give youR 100%!
- Do not accept or make phone calls during a shoot. Stay off the phone. Simply, turn it off!
- Show up in perfect shape and looks. NEVER assume something will be "Photoshoped" out of an image.
- Consuming alcohol, especially beer will create a puffy look.
- Be well rested.
- Hit the gym. hard, usually the day before a shoot.
- Do not wear anything that will leave impressions (indentations) in the skin before a shoot.
- Try to not schedule any strenuous extracurricular activities the day of/before a shoot.
- Do not show up with a sun burnt body/red skin and "farmer-tan" lines.
- Show up clean, and clean shaven shaved and well-groomed - everywhere.
- Do NOT completely shave arm pits or pubic areas unless at the photographer's request. Bring you trimmers!
- Do not show up for a shoot with a "new" hair style or color. If a photographer books a model who is clean shaven ans a certain hair color -- that is exactly what he wants to shoot.
- NEVER show up with a "new" tattoo.
- Always make sure your changing/grooming area is clean and spotless before you leave a shoot.
- Do not sell content or have it published by other sources without the photographers permission! ALL images are © Copyrighted by the photographer!
FINALLY
- Think twice before contacting and discussing a shoot with a photographer. If a model does not want to pose in a certain way, make sure he is absolutely clear before standing in front the the lens!
- Never - ever ask a photographer to delete certain photos and/or not use them while during a shoot.
- Never - ever ask a photographer to delete images after they are posted. It's not going to happen!
WHAT A MODEL SHOULD ALWAYS BRING TO A SHOOT BESIDES A GREAT ATTITUDE
...BE PREPARED:
- ALWAYS bring what is requested by the photographer.
- Depending on the shoot, always bring your "look" including at least three pairs and styles of underwear, jock strap and thong -- preferably a darker or vibrant color. Also, bring a t-shirt or two and a loose fitting dress-shirt (in different colors).
- Bring a warm robe or something warm in case it's chilly/cold.
- Bring all personal grooming products including hair needs, manscaping grooming shears, a towel or two, deodorant, soap, translucent powder and if needed, bring a concealer and clear lip gloss.
- If participating in an outdoor shoot, make sure to bring an insect repellent and sunblock.
- Bring lots of water to drink. Hydration is very important.
- Always bring a snack or protein bar.
- Not all photographers like music however many will allow it during a shoot so, bring you're high-energy play list just in case! (FYI - Mr. Bucheck HATES rap music!)
A model should NEVER - EVER approach any photographer expecting to be paid for a shoot UNLESS they are truly experienced. Two or four shoots absolutely do -- NOT -- make an experienced model!
Do not expect or ask for payment if a model a model shooting for exclusive Adult Subscription pages. If a model is receiving payments from his subscribers, the photographer should be paid, as well.
In many cases photographers will shoot this type of content as a TFP, especially on the first shoot
